What a show...!
what a place to see soooo many people..! for those who like to 'wash eye', it was a feast for all to see.. the people who came dressed up, and the people who didn't, just like me. I was just in black rugby shirt, black trousers n my trusty moccasins.. minus the cap.. though i almost thought of putting it on!
Place to solat was well provided. there were ample place n time to pray. its just a matter of whether you want to do it or not.. the showtime on the tickets was 7.30 but as usual, janji melayu, it finally started at 8.05pm. well, at least people could not give reasons that there wasnt any time to pray ahaks!!
first performance was quite a disappointment. maybe because, according to Rachmat, the bassist, the percussionists only got to rehearse with them at 4pm for the first time. in other performances, either the microphone cocked up, or the performers were not up to stage performance standards. being an avid fan of theatre and performance, i place a high standard on such shows, be it malay or english..
the most impressive part of the show was how the "clowns", 3 ladies and a guy, filled up the gap between performances, n become part of the show altogether. their movements, antics n scripts made us get cramps from laughters! ahaks! at one point, the curtain just wouldnt draw, so the clowns killed time by making funny actions regarding the curtain. initially we all thought it was just part of the act, till the clowns actually held the curtains apart to let the performers perform! WOW! n bear in mind, stage curtains ARE VERY VERY HEAVY!
Finale was perfectly done by dikir barat performed by Sri Temasek! it was PoWeR! lotsa laughs n jokes to go around by the awok2s the karuts n the juara.
I thought of going out wif friends for a drink, but they were all going home.. so i decided to start the car, unwind the windows, n blare my hi fi wif linkin... almost wanted to speed.. but the cost of petrol turned me off..! ahaks! also thought of sitting by the breakwater by myself, but thought it'll be packed since its the weekend. arrghh... home was where it would be.. thus here i am typing this out! ahaks!!
a large part of the time while i was there made me feel if only someone would have joined me, someone who loves such performances or theatre, someone who would be laughing alongside wif me, but i know it was not possible...

furthermore, i saw her sister.. just waved at her, but not an utter mentioned.. better remained it that way..
time to burn my 2-cd-into-1 linkin cd.. to listen at night..
